Surinder Rattan - The Lick 2 Review

Surinder Rattan is back with the much-awaited sequel of his first album ‘The Lick’. The name of the album is ‘The Lick 2’ and it has hit the record and music stores around the globe. The tracks of the album justify the choice of the title for the album, as the songs are really ‘the lick’.

After a wait of almost 5 years, Surinder Rattan has come out with another smash hit collection of Bhangra Pop that is ready to take disco floors by a storm. He made a name for himself from his first album, ‘The Lick’, in 1999 and especially tracks like ‘Pyaar Tu Nibhana’ and ‘Tappe’ indicated that a star of Punjabi Pop was born in the streets of London. For the past five years, he was engaged with projects with Universal and Warner Music. Now with the release of his latest album, Surinder is ready to rock once again.

The Lick 2 has 11 sizzling tracks that are showing his versatility and command in every sphere of music whether it is Indian or Urban Music. It is not a Punjabi Bhangra Album with a traditional touch to it. Various songs in the album are sung with known singers including Shin, Roach Killa, D Fernandez, Bugsy, Labh Junjua, etc. Akh Largai that features Shin and Roach Killa is a smash hit already. Munde Patley Soniye and Khalla Khalla Munda Feat Labh Junjua are the two remix tracks from the album and are a must for Bhangra Pop lovers. I love the style that Surinder brings to Punjabi Pop. I am not missing a chance to hear The Lick - 2, again and again....
