Mukhtar Sahota - Unpredictable Review

Unpredictable: yes, do get the name right! It is Unpredictable in deed!!

The second album by Mukhtar Sahota, the now- UK based Punjabi folk singer; Unpredictable would definitely leave you wondering whats next?… After his 21st Century Jugni, by Mukhtar Sahota himself and Arif Lohar, it is time for you to spare a thought for Lakhwinder Wadali, the son of the famous sufi- quali singer, Puran Chand Wadali another feather which makes the album more Unpredictable.

Through out the album you can feel why Mukhtar Sahota had so many accolades in his bag the last time around. He is the best in his work and a gem in his work. He produced, recorded, mixed and mastered the 12 tracks of the album in his UK studio to give you the innovative musical feat and now has risen to heights of Punjabi folk music.

Chakra is a quality one that would definitely make you reminisce of the Wadali duo- this times the duo being father Puran Chand and son Lakhwainder Wadali. You could fairly call it a contemporary quail.

Electro-Fused Ranjha has semi- classical vocals with electro- fused rhythms. Then again, Mukhtar Sahota has for you, all the Bhangra- lovers, Jogia. Then Mukhtar has for you Jaan, which you are sure going to love. Not killing the unpredictability of how each song off this album stands apart, just check the track list.

The album has already hit the connoisseur’s hit list. It has become very popular among all age groups. From kids to moms everybody is shaking to the tunes of Bhangra and anybody who listen to it for the fist time feels himself mesmerised and dancing to the tunes.
