Jazzy B - Kaun Nachdi Review
Mr. Jaswinder Bains aka Jazzy B is back again with his single Kaun Nachdi. This must of had the biggest hype surrounding a single when it was first announced way back in 2004. With Ravi Bal on the production of Kaun Nachdi and also featuring So Solids Harvey Kaun Nachdi was destined for big things when it finally dropped in 2007. The single features 12 massive hits including Kaun Nachdi, Bach Bach Ke and Dhol Vaja Ke.
First up we have Kaun Nachdi (Desi Mix) this one’s remixed for all the desi's out there with a fast beat dhol. Harvey of So Solid features on the next version of Kaun Nachdi untitled the Urbanology Mix. Ravi Bal on the production and what a great job he has done. The bass line is absolutely thumping and will do justice to any sound system. This version is 2 minutes longer then the desi version and will go down a storm in cars cruising southall broadway.
Jazzy B goes all the way back to 2004 with the next track which off the smash hit Romeo album of 2004. The smash hit track Bach Bach Ke has been included in this release. Going back to 2003 when Dhol Vaja Ke was released the thumbing dhol consistently active throughout the song made this the must have song of 2003, it also became a club anthem with the lyrical line 'Put Jattan Da Sohniye Ni Tere Te Marda, Tere Te Marda' what a combination Sukshinder Shinda with his production skills and Jazzy B with his awesome voice. The fifth track is Dhulla with the legend that is Kuldeep Manak on the vocals alongside Jazzy B. Also off the 2004 smash hit Romeo album comes the 'Yaari' track.
Track 7 blows in with special laser effects and the Austin Powers 'Yeh Baby'. This is none other than the Kaun Nachdi Streetology Mix. The track is probably the slowest Kaun Nachdi mix but not my style of music it has a dance / trance kind of feel to it. With music being provided once again by Sukshinder Shinda and a release date in the year 2000 off the album Stayin Real comes
Jazzy B singing some Boliyan you can really appreciate Jazzy B's unique voice in his earlier work. Once again going back to the 2004 album of Romeo track 9 is Tappe the upbeat music and slow and fast styled lyrics go well, not one of his best tracks so not sure why this one was included and not Soorma or Naag.
The album is now coming close to the end so once again we are treated with yet another mix of Kaun Nachdi this time the Sada Kar Mix. This mix is now really upbeat with a few piano key notes kicking in every so often and a "clap" like sound effective. This is one of the faster Kaun Nachdi mixes and features a lot of raping in between. Kaun Nachdi with a Hip Hop flavor produced by Ravi Bal like the rest of the Kaun Nachdi mixes.
Once again and for the last time Jazzy B goes back to the Romeo album for the track Nachana which kicks off with a dhol intro before inviting everyone to dance ;) Finally the last remix of Kaun Nachdi and the last track of the album is Kaun Nachdi Jazzy Bounce Mix. Nuff said with this one.
Overall that’s five versions of Kaun Nachdi and each is very different and sung in a different style to one another so there should be a version for everyone’s taste which seems to be what Jazzy B and Ravi Bal for hoping for. The inclusion of some of Jazzy B's biggest hits is just a bonus. The HOFB rating is for the Kaun Nachdi tracks excluding the older tracks. Value for money if you haven’t heard Jazzy B's older tracks.
HOFB Rating 6.5 / 10
