DCS - Desi Culture Shock Reviews After 24 year of rocking the industry with their music and being a power house in the Punjabi Music Industry, DCS are back again! They are back, again with another chartbuster called ‘Desi Culture Shock’. If earlier albums were great for the Bhangra fanatics, this album has proved the fact that they are one of the best Punjabi bands ever. Shin, the UK born lead vocalist of the band, has done another miraculous performance in the album. The theme of the album is to give all the fans a shock of Desi Culture and they sure have been successful at that! Desi Culture Shock is a collection of 14 groovy soundtracks segregated in a double CD album. Jaspinder Nirula and Juggy D have given special appearance in two of the songs and supplemented to the Desi flavor of the album. CD-1 contains nice tracks that include the catchy Bhangra song ‘Oh Jaan Meri Ya’ that features Shin with Mr. Doh Point. ‘Pilade Pilade’, ‘Rab Ni Banaiyan’ and the skit ‘if you’re Punjabi’ which by the way has a music video to it, then tracks from the first CD that can make you shake all the way down to CD-2 has that amazing duet ‘Malk Punjabi’ featuring Shin and Punjabi vocal queen Jaspinder Nirula. However, the one that really add the color to both the CD’s is my personal favorite ‘Japhiyan’. A musical piece of 3 minutes from ‘Bride and Groom march’ is a soothing composition. The album is a collection of different themes and is necessary buy. All the 14 tracks along with the bonus tracks indicate a huge successful album and another hit in the kitty of the great band, DCS. Therefore, being a DCS fan I will just suggest not missing another opportunity and simply be rocked by DCS. HOFB Rating 8.5/10
