Brit-Asian duo Bonafide are set to release their fantastic debut album “Life through Melody” on Friday 27th February. The much anticipated album features one of the biggest songs of 2008, the smash hit “Ishq Hogaya” which shot straight to number one on radio stations nationwide. Pre-order sales have dramatically increased over the last few weeks as the album looks to become one of the biggest sellers of the year so far.

“Life through Melody” is one of the most diverse albums of 2009, with Bonafide breaking barriers in the Urban/Asian genre. With vocals in English, Punjabi and Hindi, the album is a fusion of commercial r’n’b and contemporary Asian sounds, also featuring Arabian beats and even a Spanish twist.

Following on from the huge impact of debut single “Ishq Hogaya”, the Manchester based duo have developed a large fan base nationwide and internationally, recently performing in Dubai. Their continued success has resulted in a nomination at this year’s UK Asian Music Awards for Best Newcomer. The 12-track album also includes r’n’b hit “Do me like you do”, the video of which features ITV1’s “Britain’s Got Talent” finalist belly dancer Sophie Mei.

The video for Bonafide’s latest single “Pata Laga Na” is out now and features a cameo appearance from legendary Bhangra singer Hunterz!
