Following the success of his last two single releases ‘Bhangra Bounce’ featuring Swiss and VDublE and ‘Loveless’ featuring Sef and AG Dolla, D-Boy returns to make it a hat trick! The groundbreaking British producer is releasing an experimental single ‘Tu Bataja’ featuring one of the best Punjabi Singers this country has seen. The collaboration is pure fire!

‘Tu Bataja’ is D-Boy’s take on a Hindi language song penned by a Punjabi artist with R&B production sensibilities and a sprinkling of Ghazal style. D-Boy describes the single and says “Tu Bataja has to be one of the strongest tracks on the album. I began sketching musical ideas for the track and Des-C had great ideas for a story about forgiving a person who  has been unfaithful and the pain involved in the process. I loved the lyrical idea, especially the vocal combination of Hindi, Urdu, and a slight element of Qawal. Playback is all about expression and creating something new, 'Tu Bataja' is exactly that”

The new big budget video for the single features Big Brothers Maysoon Shaladi and is shot with a brand spanking new approach for Asian music videos and is ready to really raise the bar. Expect nothing less than perfection from D-Boy. 

The groundbreaking multi lingual and multi genre album ‘Playback Volume1’, has already found champions for the sound at BBC Radio 1,The Asian Network, Kiss Radio, Pyro Radio and more.

D-Boy [aka Daniel Naqui] has already notched up hits and produced for The Reelists, won the British Academy of Songwriters and Composers ‘Overall Best Song’ in 2005 and second place for best song with the Songwriters Academy. 

Earlier this year, he produced ‘Look 4 Me’ for British female artist Hard Kaur. The single has gone on to become anthemic in India and remained in the top  5 position in the Indian charts for 8 weeks!

The new album ‘Playback’, features experimental tabla meets grime, classical meets electro tracks featuring Baby Blue, Pyrelli, Selah, Sharifa Shi, Des-C and more.
