Saturday 14th, October 2006 Soni Pabla aged 26 was performing at Laddi Banquet Hall, Ontario, Canada. Soni Pabla had just finished performing a song when he collapsed while drinking water, he was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. Cause of death was a heart attack that stopped his heart on the spot.

"I had just finished the Remake of the Hit Track Gal Dil Di few weeks ago which feature's on Joti Dhillon's Album and the video was all set to be filmed in a week or two, and then yesterday I heard the Tragic new's that Soni Pabla had died, first thing that goes through your mind this can't be right potential vocalist and bright future ahead of him and now he is not here "Unbelievable", he will be missed by many around the globe.

My heart goes out to his family and friends.
